Hard Start with new injectors

I just installed new injectors, a bit larger and not leaking. The car started fine cold, but after it got up to temp after I shut it off it would barely turn over to start back. I disconnected the est connector and it started fine. Should I reduce the SA in Spark Advance startup vs. Temp, or the closed throttle spark advance??

Re: Hard Start with new injectors

Have you changed the engine running RPM is the calibration? When you open the bypass the distributor will signal & spark at the base distributor setting (at least until the RPM goes over 1400 or so). The ECM can not control the timing.

During cranking the ECM should be holding the bypass open electronically. Then once the engine RPM goes over the calibration parameter engine running RPM, the ECM will close the bypass and take over timing duties.

So unless the engine running RPM has been lowered to 50 or 100 RPM, the ECM should not be controlling the timing while cranking.
