| Re: Hard Start with new injectors Have you changed the engine running RPM is the calibration? When you open the bypass the distributor will signal & spark at the base distributor setting (at least until the RPM goes over 1400 or so). The ECM can not control the timing.
During cranking the ECM should be holding the bypass open electronically. Then once the engine RPM goes over the calibration parameter engine running RPM, the ECM will close the bypass and take over timing duties.
So unless the engine running RPM has been lowered to 50 or 100 RPM, the ECM should not be controlling the timing while cranking.
