Tuning Noob success.

So i bought the ostrich from moates and used the AXYC bin but with the AUJP SA tables. The car is a 350 TPI 5 speed iron 193 heads lightly moded full exhaust headers edelbrock intake etc.

The VE tables should be changed to the AUJP ones right?? Because the 350 will have a different VE hill than the 305??

thanks

Your timing tables need to be lower than even the AUJP values as the 193 heads are fast burning swirl ports.

AUJP was for the iron TPI heads, 083 castings. The 193s have the intake swirl vanes and a reshaped combustion chamber, this means they like about 3-6* less timing though a vast portion of the spark map. You will have too much timing around peak torque and through the upper rpms running AUJP.

This is a real good starting point for a 193 head TPI. This can probably be increased a little in a lighter, more aerodynamic, over-geared F-car.
