Hypertech PROM Application 8100214

Hi,
I have a Hypertech PROM that I do not know what it goes to. I think it came from an 89 Camaro, but not positive. It is a hypertech chip soldered into a black housing that plugs directly into the ecm. I would like to find out if I could use it in a 89 Corvette. The serial number is 8100214.

Thanks

Sorry but unless you "download" the bin from the eprom and start to compare it to various other MAF eproms for 1989 F-bodies, you are unlikely to find out. Typically their are very few changes from stock, so you look for a "comparison" where there are the fewest differences.

It's time consuming and ultimately, your best bet is to start with the best "stock bin" for your particular car and then tune from there. Being from an F-body is unlikely to be a good match for a Corvette. For all you know, it isn't even a 1989.

To find out the exact application, maybe you should contact Hypertech and quote them the part number.

Here is a good reason to AVOID Hypertech chips. I would start with the factory calibration over a Hyperjunk.
