Injector Algorythim

So I posted in ECM/Digi Fuel injection and didn't get any feedback... figured I would try here seeinng this is where the mojo resides as far as PROM questions...

Ok so back ground info..

new 383 300 miles on it with TPI ... lost the ECM (not pulsing the injector ground to activate.

Still was running 305 injectors and ECM/PROM as a stop gap for a short while.

new 350 injectors on their way as we speak.

I have a new 350 hypertech chip ( I know I could probably burn one eventually)....

My question is I was under the impression from the supplier and per hypertechs intructions on the net that they were NOT an interceptor module (piggyback) module. Therfore, I could replace my 305 PROM with thier chip. Much to my dismay I got the chip today and it IS an intercept chip. However, reading thier information... it say thier programing overides the stock fuel and ignition tables. So.....

In theory... couldn't you run a 305 EPROM with a 350 Hypertech module and it would push timming and fuel injector PWM as it was a 350 prom?

Re: Injector Algorythim

I believe you talking about one of these?

It's not a piggyback module, it's simply a bypass adapter. All it does is bypass the stock prom in the memcal. Once the adapter is plugged in, the ecu no longer see's the stock prom.
The memcal can also be fitted with a ZIF socket replacing the stock prom if you didn't want to use the adapter.
