About to finally order Wideband for EBL Flash

I was reading that the Zeitronix is better then Innovative, even though its 70$ more. Thats fine, I guess ill get the Zeitronix.
Do I just plug it into my laptop along with the EBL? Or is there a way to plug it into the EBL directly?

Re: About to finally order Wideband for EBL Flash

On the EBL board there is a terminal strip. Just connect the WB analog output to channel 0 (marked on board). Then in the WUD Preferences dialog select that channel along with the Zeitronix WB unit.

RBob.

I got the wideband, it comes with like a telephone wire to serial adapter, just like the EBL.
Do I need to get just a plain telephone wire and connect that from the output of the Zeitronix box to that front plug on the EBL?

Never mind, im dumb. It un-plugs from the serial adapter! lol

No, I suggest that you read through the Zeitronix instructions. And re-read my post above.

Note that the RJ-11/DB-9 adapter wiring is different between the EBL and Zeitronix. It may be a good idea to mark them so they don't get mixed up.

So its the little strip next to the serial connection on the EBL board?
I put the wideband analog output from the zeitronix signal harness to channel 0 on that?

Yes and yes. The channels are labeled on the PCB in front of each terminal.

I used my ZT-2 with an EBL "Classic" for over a year. Now that I have an
LT-5, I keep begging RBob to modify an EBL to drive 16 injectors.

Re: About to finally order Wideband for EBL Flash

I got it all in and it seems to work great! Wasent that bad to hook up.

One question about VE Learning with the Wideband.
Do I just put "BLM-Max/Min BLM" and "BLM-Max/Min BLM at key on (int)", all to 128? Like set all the numbers to 128, because when I try to VE learn it says its waiting for 128 BLM.
And if I do change them, do I just change it back to what it was after im done using the wideband VE Learn?

Sorry to bring up an old post but what terminal strip on the EBL? all I see is the phone jack and a small hole with a black piece of tape over it. I have the ZT-2 myself and want to get started tuning.

The terminal strip is on the EBL board. Pop the end cover off the ECM for access.

I used a ZT-2 with my EBL for over a year. Worked great. Having WB O2 readings next to the rest of the ALDL readings is great. I keep begging RBob to build an EBL for the LT-5 motor.

Yes, any channel will work, they are labeled on the board. Run the WB analog output wire through the grommet in the end cover. Loosen the screw on the terminal strip for that channel, insert the stripped end of the WB analog output wire into the opening on the front of the terminal strip, then snug the screw down.

In the WUD Preferences dialog select that channel along with the Zeitronix WB unit.

No. the White wire from the ZT-2 controller goes into one of the 8 A/D channels on the strip inside EBL. You'll also use the ground on that strip. I took power off ECM power. I also had the TPS signal coming in and found I was doing it wrong. Remember that adventure in Dayton, RBob?
