What do you guys think about developing a better APYP bin? we can change a lot of things in term of performance.
we can extend main spark tables out 7000 rpm, better resolution for maf tables, wide band and EGT in datastream etc.
what do you guys think? let's get it started.

What about a better ARAP bin?? That is for 350 TPI motors with auto transmissions. That is what most folks here using, for TDF $6E MAF '165 ecm.

NEW! Best ET 14.0474 @95.31 with 3.73gears(06/05/2011) and 1.8823 60'
Still stock valve covers & stock block, cam, heads.
Vigilante TC, tranny rebuilt, Spohn torque arm. Finally into sub-2.00 sec 60' zone!
Many other basic mods. Continuous PROM tuning. Got traction, need reaction!
How about....
1) Get a calibration perfectly matched to a bigger MAF
2) Wideband closed loop with target AFR vs LV8 & RPM, and a ECT vs MAP offset
3) Add some boost friendly algorithms (use AIR divert valve driver or some other driver for a PWM vs RPM in PE mode for a wastegate control, and another driver for blow off valve control = ON if negative dTPS is > threshold).
4) Make a speed density version for those that don't want to change ECU or MAF, and don't want to keep messing with PE for maxxed MAFs.

- I have an 89 F body and I worked on the aujp project- extensively! -
It really depends on what you want to do..... You know a full rewrite won't get done.
Criteria
The 700r4 is too weak for serious power and traction.
CNP is so helpful for the the high HP setups/boost
165 ecm has it's problems
730 has expensive memcals - until someone figures out a DIY work around.
7427 - already has 4L80 & w\ Maf code available and more I/O space than Fbdy ecm's
0411 - CNP, 4l80, Maf and more and yet people with them get rid of the maf and like it better????
Boost code is out there for it, just have to read a chip that has it already.
Once a full hac is done with the currently available add-on OS's and tweak with desired upgrade code that been done in S_aujp and $59. This ecm will work for all sorts of setups.
But as has already been said many time by people who have been at it longer than you or me. A full hac is needed first.
It would be easier to put Maf code into aujp and have better ecm availability. Just need to get the alternate memcal thing figured.

Isn't the primary idea here to simply upload a new bin to one's existing ECM (a '165 in this case) in the hopes of avoiding a larger than necessary swap? That's what I'd want to do, anyway.
If I wanted as much control and really wanted to go about doing a huge electronics swap, I'd go to a 749/730, MAP, and $59. Or even revert to a C3 and go with EBL.
One of the proposed mods was SD support in 6E. Well it's easier to put maf into SD code than the other way around. The people that have already done it didn't post much if at all when I joined the board.
You can get a 6.0/4L80 complete pull out for less money than I have into my 383. Granted putting it into a 3rd gen swap isn't for everyone.
For the mod list
All the AUJP upgrades.
Put the alt PW table from 32b back in there.
Don't get fooled into the 7k tuning thing
Some bin merge software- people are forever messing up the transfer of their current cal into the new bin.
Get with the Dewtronics author and see if/how the include feature works. -IDK-

Thank you for the list. I have to agree with Mangus on keeping 165 ecm otherwise I would swap to 730. Also here in California, I have to keep things legal.
If this doesn't get off the ground (I probably won't be able to get much involved - I can't do assembly and I'm waay far away from my cars), I have an option for some of you...
I picked up 10 '165 ECU connectors on EBay.
My company makes an EFI ECU.
It has wideband control and 1-5Bar MAP input.
We'll be doing a turbo project soon, and maybe a MAF project (wouldn't be hard to add anyway).
We have an external box that would allow you to do 4 coils in waste spark mode or even 8 if they're module in coil (and 58x crank wheel). But that would require installing a crank wheel. A distributor will also work for those wanting to keep it simple.
We have 2 direct inputs for flat response knock sensors - so some rewiring might give you a better system.
Only 4 primary injector drivers (can do 8 injectors on 4 channels in a semi-sequential manner, if you add a cam signal - no problem). Also has 4 secondary injector drivers (but they use the same signal - so if you want to go overboard and add a fuel cell to hold E85, and run 8 more dedicated E85 injectors, no problem).
Auto trans lockup probably isn't too hard to add.
Has check engine light control too (EOBD standard), so the smog man won't really know what's up.
I might be able to add EGR and AIR control. If you want really good emissions, just install an O2 sensor downstream of the cat and let our Down O2 loop bias do the rest.
But don't let this discourage the attempt to make the '165 do all of that too. I'd help if I could.

Last time I worked on assembly was 6 years ago, but at least I still remember the 6 addressing mode
Craig, maybe we can work on it together and get it going.
I will probably start working on it in two weeks or so, and I am going to look over 808 to see what else we can do.

Getting the hac fully documented for memory locations and hardware controls is the first thing to get it rolling. Having it already relocatable is a nice thing that someone has already spent the time to accomplish.
Prepare the "wish" list and bounce it around.
A good plan for what is "possible" with the list of items to be done.
Split them up where possible and go to work.
It also helps tro have everyone using the same editor, assembler and syntax once begining code work.
It's already been discussed quite a bit, but the air divert removal and 02 sensor voltage change should be added to this. It looks to me like the shift light tables can be used to fire a nitrous system (I think this is something they did with Super Ajup). Maybe swapping the timing tables away from the PE timing and putting it all into one table would be a decent plan.
I can definately see myself needing extended tables with the v6. 4800rpm is a looow ceiling for a motor that likes to live near 7k. Maybe you could extend the spark & wot fuel tables out to say... 9k? And something needs to be done with the maf tables to make swapping in a larger maf easier- reworking the code for double value (2 g/sec per bit- or more ) has been brought up before. Maybe a flag could be added to cycle between double value and normal so resolution isn't sacrificed on setups still using the stock maf?
