Closed loop sooner, easy question?

Hi All,

I have a 160 Thermostat. My problem is my check engine light kicks on under 185* I get the O2 Rich mixture check engine light. I believe it's due to the car running cooler it richens the mixture and triggers the o2 to read rich. I'm to cheap to get a 180 stat this one came with the car and I rather not get dirty.. Can I just bring close loop temps lower then 185* lets say 170*. Will this cause a problem and what parameters do I change please. I have a ARAP chip…

Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks all

Re: Closed loop sooner, easy question?

When does this happen, idle, part throttle?
