Disabling or limiting knock sensor in '746 TBI ecm

For now on the dyno i just unplugged the thing since its pulling timing because of what i believe is just exhaust leak noise. The car did not set the SES light and seems to not be retarding timing at all. However i obviously dont want to run it that way. I see the Knock retard v.s. RPM (in pe) and v.s load as well. However i dont understand the values.

You can reduce the amount of knock retard via the two Max Retard tables.

Can also turn off code43 and zero out the two max retard tables along with the code 43 active retard value.

What's the point of tuning the motor by disabling the knock sensor and then say you don't want to run it that way. The knock is indicating that an issue exists.

RBob.

Rbob i dont understand the values in that table i am seeing. Its in %/msec correct? The way i was looking at it was that @ 2000rpm it is leaving in 85% of whatever it is commanding from the SA table and taking out 15%. However i guess this is not the case b/c obviously if i zero this out its going to take away 100% of spark advance. Can you explain this?

So i would zero out:

Knock retard v.s. RPM (in pe)
Knock Retard v.s. load
Uncheck the code 43 flag
and..
what do you mean Code 43 active retard value?

With %/msec values they should be attack tables. The tables I mentioned at the max retard values. Which are SA * (45/256).

what do you mean Code 43 active retard value?

When code 43 is active the ECM pulls timing. Zero that value.
