did a long test drive yesterday, and got a fine long datalog...
so far so good, blmīs are where they should be, i still have some cam surge below 2000 rpm (396,ci, 230/236 XFI 467cam) that i hope i can tune out...
my question now is...i have no knock at acceleration, no no knock at WOT, but sometimes i have a knock signal at deceleration and while driving with low loads, and a bit of knock signal in the first minute after start up (i have forged pistons)
my question now is, is this real knock, or just some noises, that trigger the sensor?
I'm having issues with picking up false knock, I was picking up enough for the PCM to retard timing 10* on the dyno last week, I was running CAM2 as well so after looking at the plugs and deciding I had no knock I turned max retard to 0 and it ran so much better. The false knock is from my headers I think and how I had to put a 90* elbow into the KS threads cause mine couldnt stick straight out or it hit the headers.

the reason why i asked, is , that datamaster shows sometimes knock counts, where it is normally rather not possible....
especially on start up, the first minute after, or sometimes when cruising under very light loads...maybe this is triggered from some engine noises in the range of the knock sensor...
