hey guys just curious if anyone had a pic so know for sure what direction my chip goes in.A buddy burned a moates chip for me and wanted to make sure it was in right.

EDIT. I take that back. It depends on what model year & type of ECM/calpak you're working with.

Is there not a notch in chip and a notch in socket? Align them. I have placed in backwords and no issues developed other that the CE light told me something wrong.

no aligning pins there is a notch at the top of the chip but its a little smaller than the stock chip.

The notch determines direction depending on what you have.

I think in your case (don't know what you have yet) the notch faces to the outside, away from the other chips on the calpak.
Like was said, the CEL will let you know if it isn't in right.

my socket also had a notch. notch on notch. and i still got it wrong.

Do you have a Moates adapter? If so the notch goes towards the outer of the ECM with any vacant sockets to the outside
