Shipping chips in the mail / media mail only?

Shipping chips in the mail / media mail only?

I just had a brain fart, should chips proms n what not be sent media mail so they don't use certain scanners n junk that could wipe data???

They do use some nasty stuff since 911 to "clean n check" mail.

Why they have media mail.

Wonder if thats why the few I know who also bought chips from the same guy on ebay, ended up with bad chips.

Or hes ripping folks off.

Re: Shipping chips in the mail / media mail only?

I don't think that is neccessarily accurate. When you ship electronics, they should be well protected, as in, static foam(or any foam, I suppose) on the pins to protect them from being bent and broken, and should be put in a static bag, then placed in a decent package, whether bubble envelope or box and bubble wrap.

static discharge is a killer to IC's, so the anti-static stuff goes a long way. Xray type scanners shouldn't mess with too much, otherwise, noones' laptops would ever work after going through an airport.
