I'm running ScannerPro for data logging, TunerPro RT for programing and a Moates adapter, that will switch between 8 different programs. Should the Prom ID change in the datalog any time I switch from one program to the next? Running $OE definition. I set the prom ID to a different number for each of the programs, however when I datalog, I can't see the prom ID switch. I assumed it would be a good way to identify which program I was running, but the prom ID always reads the same number, any idea what is wrong?

I don't have OE info but I believe it is because the value at $4000 & 4001 that you are using are just constants entered into the bin.
To get changing data output the value needs to be in active memory.
From the memory location you can then read it out to the datastream.
I wonder if you get the proper number if you turn off the key, change programs, turn key back on again.
That obviously doesn't help you but it would explain the functionality.

I recall having the same problem when I first tried to do it but I added a bit of code to move the "custom bin number" to an unused memory location and changed the address in the mode 1 datastream to the new location.
It works good for $8D on my G3. Helps allot when trying different things.
I'm sure there's a way to make it work, just need to find the right spot in the code to make the changes if you don't have full source code.

I understand the nature of the problem, but don't begin to know how to solve it. Getting it into active memory is well beyond my understanding. Turning the key off and back on doesn't help, as the prom ID displayed has always been the same number for over a year. There is pretty good hac for BJKZ, but I haven't seen any value I could cheat with.
