Stroker Idle problem

Hello all. My father bought a 305 tpi out of a 1987 Iroc. He had it bored and stroked to a 355 I think. But any ways it runs good, until it warms up and then driving down the road when he puts the clutch in to stop 1/2 the time the engine stalls. It only does it when it is warm. Now my dad did put the proper fuel pump and proper injectors. But he has not had the stock chip looked at yet. It is in his jeep by the way. Any help would be great from you fine folks.

Re: Stroker Idle problem

It should have a VSS feed to the ECM. Being a swap it may not.

Another item is the park/nuetral input to the ECM. This needs to be left open, not wired to anything.

Clean the IAC and TB, then check/set the minimum air and TPS value. The procedure for this is in the tech articles. Link is found on the home page here.

To be honest, spend some time with your dad working on the TPI setup. With him doing the swap he will know what a lot of this stuff is. At the same time reading the above links (second one first) will help a lot.
