I'm looking for any suggestions on fuel and spark timing near idle.
For a little back ground the engine I have came from a 87 suburban, it is a TBI 5.7, it is stock as far as I now, but I also know the heads have been removed before. I am running 2.5 in true dual exhaust with shorty headers.
I am using a 16144288 ECU with the A0 mask and an Ostrich 2.0 emulator. I have been playing with it longer than I care to admit, but have re-inforced the leson of ensuring it runs properly before you try to tune.
I have made a lot of progress, but it still idles rough and smells rich near idle. I have tried to lean it out, but the idle gets worse. I am concerned that I am adjusting the fuel to make up for a lack of timing.
Fuel tables look like this:
Spark tables look like this: (main spark bias is set to 10 degrees)
Looking for any input on the fuel and spark. I really don't have a clue what these are supposed to look like other than I have tried to make the BLM values reasonably close to 128
