Looking for stock bin for 88 LB9/M5 (AKHK), and questions
I'm planning on buying an ostrich this weekend, and I'm hoping to find a copy of my stock bin to start with. The code on my prom is AKHK 2476. Also, I'm thinking about upgrading to the 6E code - what would be a good 6E bin to start with? Just an 89 305TPI/T5? Or take one of the popular ones (ARAP I think is one), and set it to manual?

Go with 6E. ARAP has way much too much timing advance for your engine, it's for an aluminum headed 350. Use any of the 88-89 T-5 bins to start with. I think that I used ANZA.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards just updating to 6E. After looking in TunerPro at both definitions, there are a ton more options in 6E. Also, I haven't been able to get my ECM to datalog at 8192 baud, only 160 - hopefully 6E will fix that.
Just to make sure I've got this right, all I have to do to update to 6E is unplug the cold start injector, right?

Also disable VATs in the calibration. May need to invert the fan relay output. Somewhere along the line GM changed the FAN relay driver from active low to active high or vice-versa. Will know once $6E is in place and the engine is running.
If the fan is also running and the ECM is not in limp mode, then the fan relay output is inverse. Also note that the engine needs to be under the fan turn on CTS threshold for this check to work.
