730, TunerPro, 8D, Enrich Accel Delta TPS Mult vs Delta TPS

Using the s_aujp_v3 bin and when I look at the 2D graph of Enrich Accel Delta TPS Mult vs Delta TPS, it looks backwards to me. In other words, if %TPS is the amount of throttle opening, then a small %TPS should result in a small pump shot and a large %TPS should result in a large pump shot. The graph shows just the opposite - small %TPS = large multiplier (1.05), and large %TPS = small multiplier (.28). Am I misinterpreting this? I do have an issue with a lean pop with rapidly changing TPS (using MR intake). I'm thinking this AE parameter should start out low at low %TPS and increase almost linearly with increasing %TPS. I think I'm probably wrong on this since the s_aujp_v3 bin has it the way that seems backwards to me and I can't imagine it being that far off of what I think it should be. Would anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanks.

What you are seeing in the table values is normal. This isn't easy to describe. However, the the most part the ECM runs at a rate that is faster then folks hit the go-pedal. So what happens is that the lower end of the delta AE table used.

This is where a sudden change in manifold pressure is created.

I am not explaining this all that well.

There is also other items involved. Going fro idle to a go-pedal plant also invokes PE mode. This also itself enriches the engines AFR. So less AE is required.

Then once the airflow is increased the requirement for AE decreases.

The one item to remember is to give the engine what it wants, not what you think it wants.

Re: 730, TunerPro, 8D, Enrich Accel Delta TPS Mult vs Delta TPS

Thanks rRob,
It was tough for me to explain my problem so I understand it being tough to provide the explanation
Here is what the 2D graph of AE Delta TPS Mult vs Delta TPS currently looks like:Doc1.doc
As I mentioned, I'm having a problem with a lean pop and I have done some playing with this AE adjustment in the lower %TPS range without any success in eliminating the problem. I have a Mini Ram and I've read that it needs a lot of AE, so maybe I just didn't put enough in.
Suggestions on how much AE to add and where?

You can also hide AE in the VE table. This can be very effective.

Otherwise, you need to see what the delta TPS% is with the lean pop. Then work on that area of the AE table.
