PE Question (8746 / $61 / ANLU)

I've been reading the stickies and the various threads about PE mode, but am still a little unclear on PE mode on the 8746. From this thread:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...571-post2.html

RBob points out:

When the ECM goes into PE mode the commanded AFR is changed to the value from the PE AFR vs RPM table. As the RPM changes the ECM will track the RPM AFR value of that table.
First, we are talking about the PE - WOT AFR vs. RPM table?

Assuming this is correct, I am unclear why this table is labeled WOT. If it only takes a certain % TPS to enable PE mode at a given RPM, why is there only a WOT table?

For instance, in my .bin, it only takes 35.16% TPS at 400 RPM to enable PE mode, which, if my understanding is correct, would command an AFR based on the PE - WOT AFR vs. RPM, even though I'm not at WOT. Is this right?

I assume that PE mode supersedes the OL tables? Or am I missing something?

TIA.

Re: PE Question (8746 / $61 / ANLU)

PE mode is also referred to as WOT mode. It tends to be easier for folks to understand.

When in PE mode that table of AFR's supersedes the open loop AFR table(s).

Ah, OK, that makes more sense. I was taking it literally, thinking TPS had to equal 100% or the MAP had to be 100 kPa or something. Thanks for clearing that up, and the confirmation on AE mode!
