Need EPROM tuning help in Cam change

I need help with Eprom tuning in Hydro-roller cam change in 406 SBC in 92 Camaro after distributor gear and cam gear chewed to point of failure. Attached pic is distributor gear. 406 motor built 8 to 10 years ago but previous owner said only 300 miles on motor. I maybe put 2000 additional miles since buying it in Spring 2013 when motor failed.
Attached BIN file is custom tune in 7730 ECM for original cam.
Old cam specs:
.510/.540 229/245@.050 112 LSA 108 ICA
New Cam:
.527/.535 224/230@.050 112 LSA 108 ICA

Old cam was high rpm cam that required 12V vacuum pump to operate brakes. New can should create enough vacuum to eliminate vacuum pump.

I need help with advice on what to change in bin file to retune ECM to use new Hyro-roller cam. Do I not change anything in BIN and then datalog to modify BIN with datalog info? Or what should I update in BIN to get to a safe starting point once new cam installed?
I have cables to connect OBD1 to laptop with Tunerpro to datalog once motor is operating with new cam.
Any relevant advice would be appreciated.
thanks!

Re: Need EPROM tuning help in Cam change

Is it safe (or cause no damage) to use current BIN to start motor to adjust rockers after new cam installed? And then datalog to use to retune after?
Also, is there a way to calculate VE table using new cam specs? Or way of getting a closing starting point?
Thanks!

Hi. I have 400 too and a have 6 different cams in this engine from stock Lt1 to cam wich i have now .600/612 245/253 @0.050 LSA 110. no problem with vacum/brakes.
Of course the engine operates on different map readings now idle 75-83 kpa - (Thankl RBob ) but there maybe some other problem...

As for tuning the bin. IMHO the difference is so small between tchem that you can easy run the engine with no worries.

Re: Need EPROM tuning help in Cam change

Thanks for the assurance that current BIN will not damage after new cam install on start up.
Since you have 400 SBC experience, any advice on setting degrees of timing on new Comp Cam?
Also, do you have advice on proper procedure for tightning Scorpion 1.5 narrow race rockers? I am working with fellow Thirdgen and his dad on this cam change and both have different views on tightning rockers. One states motor should be running and the other states should be tightned with motor off.

I try do degree some cams but newe finish it . Only checking the real TDC if it is where should be.
For rockers.... i think each mechanic has his own procedxure to do it. Most manufacturers required zero lash and half turn, some require 3/4 of turn. But there are much more expiered people here, hope they 'll help you more than just me.
I'm only wondering why the gear from distributor is so worn...wrong aloy of the gear?

Yes, I believe it was not a hardened steel distributor gear as it appeared to be softer than cam gear due to so much damage and only a little damage to cam gear.
