8746 rev limit patch
hello everyone. im trying to do the revlimit and forced knock patches for my 8746 ecm on an anlu bin. im using tuner pro rt v5(registered) im on a windows 8 64 bit laptop. I found the all the patch files and when I try to run the S19_pat_ a window pops up then closes instantly. not sure what is going on I tried running it in compatability mode also. then I found the patch bin option in tp and tried that using the rev.s19 file and that isn't working either.
anyone have any ideas to help me get this to work???
thanks knuck

Re: 8746 rev limit patch
Need to open a command window first, navigate to the folder with the patch files, then run the s19_pat_ program by typing in the full command line:
s19_pat_ code43.s19 0xD000 mybinname.bin
To open a command window use that word as a program to run.

The s19_pat program needs to be either in the search path or in the current folder. Same with the .s19 file and BIN file. Move them all together into a folder of your choice, then run the s19_pat program from that folder in the command window.
To understand a little more about the search path, in the command window type 'path' (no quotes) and hit the enter key. The search path will be listed out.

Re: 8746 rev limit patch
hey bob I tried following the search path and i put everything In the same folder but it is still doing the same thing with the s19 program. I tried a bunch of different spots that I thought were in the search path. and it still isn't working...

Re: 8746 rev limit patch
You may be missing a file. Are you trying to patch a stock ANLU BIN? If so I'll do it here and post screen shots of it and the resulting BIN
If you have a modified version of ANLU, if you post it I'll do the same.

Re: 8746 rev limit patch
thank you for doing that for me bob. with the help of your screenshot I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had to change the directory to the actual file that I had everything in. I think I got it to work now. ill attach a screen shot.
now how could I set that up so I don't have to dig through directories like that to get the folder I want? for future reference.

Re: 8746 rev limit patch
If the s19_pat_ executable is in a folder that is in the search path, it can stay there.
It is easiest to place the other files all in the same folder. Otherwise the path to them needs to be typed in on the command line when the s19_pat_ executable is run.
I have Windows Explorer set up to show the current path. It is easy to then copy the path from it, type CD space in the console window, then right click->edit->paste, and hit the Enter key.
That will take you to that folder.
