Hi guys. I have a 91 Camaro RS 305 TBI T5 transmission. From what I've found I'm pretty sure the car has an 8746 ecm that from the factory uses a 2732A prom. I'm looking to start burning my own chips and like the look of the Burn2 programmer from moates. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to find what chip I need that will work for what I want to do. The Burn2 will burn AT29C256, 27SF512, and AM29F040 chips only, my problem is that I've been looking and can't seem to find which one of them replaces the 2732A. I'm hoping to avoid changing my ecm if at all possible and would like to learn to use what I've got. RBobs EBL is something I've been looking at but just don't quite have the funds for yet. IIRC, the 27SF512 is the only small DIP package Flash PROMs available. Need to change the ECM's PROM socket using Craig's G2 adapter to use those PROMs.

Alright so I'm pretty much looking at having to either change the socket on my current ECM or change ECMs? If that's the case then I think I'll just wait a little while till I have the money and order an ECM with EBL from you guys at Dynamic EFI. That way if I ever have to I can just plug my factory ECM back in. Would you be able to hook me up with an 8746 ECM with EBL or am I better off finding another one in a junk yard and sending it to you for install?

It would need to be the G2 socket change to use the 27SF512 PROMs.

As for an EBL Flash ECM, it can be any of the ECMs listed on the product page. Once the EBL board is installed they all become the same ECM: an EBL Flash ECM
