Re: HID headlight conversions?

Well, if you already have the housings. Then you can still use them along with an H4 bulb.

For the inner set:
Just connect two of terminals on the H4 instead of all three. IIRC, the Hi beam terminal is the top horizontal, and the ground is the right terminal. That way, you will have the outter set hi and low, and the inner set just hi. You'll just have to make a few jumper wires for this to work.

Sorry, not pissed off. Didn't mean to come across that way.

Yes that Hella housing is correct for the 1982-1984 Trans am. I posted that same one in my post above.

I recommend you stay away from Chinese made H.I.D. Kits and I know from experience (I got screwed twice by bad Chinese made bulbs). Remember this you buy The EBay ones at to your own risk!! I recommend you go with American made or German made H.I.D. Kits they are a little pricey but well worth it.

Ask the seller:

Where are you based out of?
Do you have any complaints?
Who manufactures this HID kit?
Are these true BI-Xenon HIDs?
What is your warranty policy?

Thanks for quick reply. So i will get the above housing as you mentioned its the right one. You also recommended http://www.mobilehid.com . From there site which kit should i order. H4 conversion kit - 8000k from mobilehid and HL79567 200mm Rectangular H4 Headlamp from rallylights is the right set up in your opinion. Thanks

Re: HID headlight conversions?

I also recommend an extension harness to protect the factory harness.
You can never have too much protection whether it is your car or your women.

The KYO H4 Plug-N-Play Heavy Duty Harness:

Re: HID headlight conversions?

Bi-Xenon Headlights refers to HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon headlights that offer both low (dipped) and high (main) beam lighting from a dual headlight system (as opposed to a quad headlight system).
A bi-xenon system eliminates the need for a separate halogen high beam bulb/lens by either moving the xenon bulb within the lens or by moving a shield up or down in front of the bulb (depending on the reflector design) to allow light to escape from the lens in a different pattern.
A bi-xenon system typically features dynamic headlight leveling and on some vehicles direction adjustability.

Re: HID headlight conversions?

I have a challenge, maybe someoine can help me, did the H4 low beam and H1 high beam conversion. I bought HID conversion for low beams H4 bi-xenon and Hid H1 for high beams.

Challenge comes in that when switching to high beam works fine the first time, when I switch back to low beam also works fine, but if I try to switch back to high beam they do not come on or one work. Buy if I switch the headlight off and than back on everything works fine.

Also with bi xenon on low beam, this actually does not work, the bi-xenon need that high beam circuit to switch bulb into upper position, but since our cars do not have a high beam on the lower beams it does not switch.

Has anyone else noticed this

Re: HID headlight conversions?

You had gone for a great decision. HIDs are very useful at night times. but if so happens to you then the fuse switch of headlight{high beam/low beam) is short. you need to replace that
