Difficulty in rebuilding Hatch motor........

I am about to get the two main parts for my motor driven hatch pull down......I am getting the housing and the gear nut.....Question is...How hard is it to disassemble the motor to replace these parts and where is the gear nut located...I was told it is located in the housing (sounds easy enough)....If one of you could kinda give me a step by step...I would greatly appreciate it(since rain is in the near future down here )

Thanks Again

I don't have an answer to your question, I was wondering where you got the parts to fix your hatch?

Reply to where you can get the parts to fix your pull down hatch motor on the 90 thru 91 z28, go to the wreaking yard and find a caddy with the electric motor that pull down the trunk. The motor is the same only different is the hook that pulls down the hatch or trunk lid. This is how I repaired my hatch motor problem. It is not hard to replace this motor.
