GM Part #14093107...what is this???

Ok..I know this is a relay but what kinda relay is this??? I went to GMpartsdirect and all they say is that its a relay... We have such "winners" at GM. :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala:

If it's the relay I'm thinking of, it's kind of a multi-purpose relay. From 88 (i think) on, they used one type of relay for almost everything. I've got like 6 of this one type of relay in my 89 firebird. 2 for cooling fans, one for the MAF power, one for the MAF burnoff, and 2 others for *** knows what else.

If it wasn't so cold where I'm at right now, I'd go outside and look at the number on one of those relays to find out.

Where did you come up with that part number? Usually it's the other way around...you know what you're looking for, and then you get the PN.

If that part number is correct, then that relay is the starter enable relay. It's inside the driver's side kick panel. When the VATS receives the proper key resistance, then it activates that relay which enables the starter.
