neutral saftey switch

does anyone have a diagram for the neutral saftey switch? this thing is annoying. my car wont even start half the times, i have to hit the shifter to get it to start.

Will this help you? BTW, the pin they are talking about using is a 3/32" drill bit.

i know where everything is, BUT i dont get the instructions, what exactly do u have to do?

Okay, let's walk through this.

1. remove shifter knob and shifter plate.
2. turn key to "ON" position.
3. put shift lever in neutral position.
4. loosen two bolts (10mm) holding P/N switch.
5. look for alignment service hole in top of switch..
6. move switch until carrier tang (9) is centered.
7. insert 3/32" drill bit in alignment service hole to a depth of about 15mm.
8. try moving switch, if excessive movement, repeat step 6 & 7. If little or no movement. tighten bolts and remove pin.
9. put shift lever in park position and try to start car in each gear position. If operation is good, replace shifter plate and knob. remove key.
