ALDL Mating Connector

The newest thing I saw in search is 2 years old. Anyone know a source for the mating connector to the vehicle ALDL connector?

Are you referring to a connector to plug into it for a test (diagnostic scan tool) cable?

Yeah, so I can plug in my laptop to the ALDL without having to remember which little holes to connect the two wires to.

Are you going to use this just to retrieve trouble codes or do a diagnostic scan of the system? If it is just to retrieve trouble codes, it is cheaper and easier to use a paper clip in the two holes (pins "A" & "B") shown in this picture. If it is to do a diagnostic scan of the system, you will need to know where to put more than two wires.

No, I'm constantly programming new PROMs and I use the ALDL port to collect the serial data that comes out. I use WinALDL on my laptop and have a cable connected from the serial port to the ALDL connector. Right now the cable just has two loose wires at the end that I stick into A and E (I think, forget). Every time I disconnect I forget which pins to connect to, so I just want the right connector on the end of my cable so I don't have to think about it.

Contact Craig Moates and he should be able to fix you right up. He is a member of the board and you can PM him and explain what you need.
