Oh *** yes it is... I just did this the other night. Just make sure you have someone there to hold the linkage when you are drilling out the rivets that hold the motor to the linkage... it's spring loaded and will jump like a jack in the box when the gear sprocket comes off the gear... I thought I was going to be picking my fingers up off my workbench.
It took me about a day, it's a lot of tugging, pushing, and pulling, and a few curse words... use some 1/4" bolts and nuts to replace the mounting rivets for the motor to the door. And yes, the rebuilt ones work fine. I got mine at Schucks for $33 with a $2 core charge.
