Turn Indicator lights,High Beam Ind.,brake warning light wiring help

I have made an Autometer dash for my '82 that I am beginning to wire up finally.A lil time consuming using the factory wiring diagram but no bigee. The question I have right now is on the turn signal indicator lights. They are in factory form/gauge cluster wired with a dark blue wire for the right turn.Is this the ground for that light or the power source?Same for the light blue wire for the left turn signal indicator?Do I run these colored wires (dark and light blue) to a ground and the other wire of the light to a power source..or vice versa?Same questions for the high beam inidicator (light green wire) and brake warning light.I am pretty sure from the wiring diagrams that the brake warning lamp (factory tan/white wire) should go to a ground and a power for the other side/wire of the light as it grounds when the brakes fail or parking brake is on.The ground is the switching wire for that lamp correct? The other three are the main concern right now.

Figured it out reviewing the wiring diagrams some more.

This is accurate for my '82 factory LG4 Z.Not sure about the wire locations on your '89.But I would bet the colors and uses are the same.Location is more than likely different.

..pic upload attempt failed again!

What I found out upon further review..

I run these colored wires (dark and light blue) as the positive for the turn indicator lights and the other wire of the light to a ground.Same for the high beam indicator (light green wire). Now the brake warning lamp (factory tan/white wire) should go to a ground and a positive for the other wire of the light as it grounds when the brakes fail or parking brake is on completing the circuit and turning on the light. The ground is the switching wire for that lamp.Hope this helps!
