GM antenna adapter

I have a GM antenna adapter that came with an easy install kit i picked up at walmart...everything went right on except for the adapter...a wire is supposed to fit down into the adapter but how is it held in place is there a way to crimp it or do you try to get a soldering iron down in there what do you do??

As far as i know, the original end shouuld just plug right into that adapter and work fine without crimping needed.

no see im trying to get the wire from my harness..thats for the antenna...into the adapter piece so that i can plug the adapter into the proper slot

i cant figure out how youre supposed to get the wire to stay inside the adapter bc its just a hole down in the adapter no form of holding the wire into the adapter itself that i can see

i think im supposed to have the original piece for the antenna that looks similar to the adapter but my car doesnt have it my 91 firebird does but mine just has a light blue wire for the antenna
