Fusible links, Ignition issue

I'm looking at the wiring diagram for the starting system and I may have narrowed down my problem to the fusible link coming from the starter switch. But where is it at? what does it look like so I can find it and test it?

Ok, i take it you found the switch on the diagram... and that you are not getting 12V on the red wires? If that is so, you are on the right track. Did you follow the red wire back from the switch? Where does it end up? Check out this link and browse down to the fusible links section. HERE
I think that may help you find the link. Let me know as i will find it on my own car for you if i need to It looks like it will appear as a bulge or wrapped section of the wire...

I think i found it, although it now seems to not be the problem. I believe it to now be either the ignition switch, or the VATS. Would I still be able to hotwire my car if it is indeed the switch, and I have the key in the run position?

I got my car running again, with the help of my old man. We tested the VATS circuit, and it registered nothing, so we fabricated a jumper with the same resistance as my key, just like the tech article said, and voila it started up with a horrible grinding noise of an improperly installed starter. Well, at least it cranks when I ask it to now!
Thanks to everyone for their help
