My 1988 Camaro fuel gage reads full all the time. The previous owner replaced the sending unit. It didn't fix the problem, thats one of the reasons she sold the car. Anyway I have read that the fuel gauge works off of a pink and black wire. I have read where the black wire goes to ground distribution spot G304. Can some one tell me where is ground spot G304? Thanks!

It is located behind the center of the rear seat. Your problem could also be a bad guage or a wiring problem at the instrument panel.
Tanks guys (a little pun intended), I'm going to have to drop the tank. I unplugged the pigtail above the rear differential going to the top of the tank. When I turned the ignition on the gage went clear past the full mark. Then I shorted the pink and black wires together and the gage went down past empty. This tells me my wiring and gage are working fine. It's the sending unit in the tank that's the problem. I need to replace the rear brake lines this summer anyway. I'll just go ahead and drop the tank then as well. Thanks again for the info.
Trickster does the fuel gauge share a ground with the hatch release and the cargo area light? The '83 service manual said it was located underneath the car.

On your car you are correct about the location of ground point G304. it is located on the rear cargo panel with the hatch release and cargo light.

I was wandering if you can send me a digram of the under dash wiring because I am putting a 91 harness in and I'm trying to pair up the underdash lines into the new harness from the 91 basically the ingnition hot wire colors and the instrumental panel color codes and ecm power color codes to fuse box
