Installing Aftermarket Tachometer

I bought an aftermarket tachometer and had a question about installation. I will probably tap the 12v and illumination wires into the fuse box, the ground wire will be easy, im just wondering about the green wire that needs to tap into the coil wire. What color will the coil wire be? I have the stock HEI distributor with the in-cap coil. Any help is appreciated. Hoping to install it tommorow.

According to Chiltons, on a carbed motor the tach wire is black. On a crossfire the tach wire is white. Good luck, if you haven't already finished it.
