MSD 6AL

Im tempted to buy the MSD 6AL but my father thinks that becuase i allready have realy good throttle response from my L03 TBI that it wont effect it much and its not worth the money and that if i do see a diffrence that it wont be big at all, says ill barley knotice i have it. Is this true or will i have a big diffrence and does MSD give more hp? or just throttle response? or bolth, i just would like to have info on it befor i spend $200. thanks

Re: MSD 6AL

You wont need it on a stock TBI engine. We tested one on a 330 RWHP tuned port engine, and it made a 2 horsepower difference at peak power only. Your money is better spent elsewhere at this point.
They work great for nitrous/blower cars, or engines that are making power above 6000 rpms.

Re: MSD 6AL

Agreed. I only put my MSD ignition on because I already owned it from a previous vehicle and I'd rather not have it sitting on a shelf doing nothing. I'm running a mostly stock L03 TBI right now.
