Stephen probably knows a secret - that we found a way to make the boards locally.
Now, I can't promise anything ... but Christmas might come early this year.
Next update by the end of the week.
Cheers.

Hey Stephen, could you pencil me in for one of these units. I can't comit to buying one just yet so if someone else puts interest in a unit just move me down a slot. I have an 89 formula and I am looking to get a set of GTA lights to put in my car and once I do that I want the sequential lights on the car. So I need to get the tail lights first then I will go with your unit. Just have to find a very nice set of tail lights that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I will keep you updated on when i get the tail lights.

I've got you down at #31.....30 people ahead of you.
Now...I fully expect some of those 30 to "drop out"/not be interested anymore(sold their car, out of $, etc.)....
PMs will be sent to those persons first, the publicly offered, if there are any extras.
So if there is any more interest...PM me now & I'll PM you in the order I receive your interest..
that is excellent news. i can't wait. my wife has been buggin me since we got her t/a. and now i can tell her that her car will have the same lights as mine. by the way guys everyone who sees these love them. i have local police and sheriff askin how i make my lights do that. every car buff loves them too. we have the turkey rod run here soon and i'll be showing them off some more. it will be even more fun when my wife and i both pull in with our turn signals scrolling.

Update: we have boards. So we can start building STS units once parts get here. Should be this week.
Stephen will be creating a new thread for the next round when we have enough units to cover the demand.
So patience, please.

I haven't decided if I am going to keep mine or not. I put in my new tail lights but there are some big gaps on one sides and on the bottom of the tail lights. I put my formula tails back in so my sts unit might be for sale as well as the gta tail lights as well.
FYRCHKN got his installed o his 91 TA Sunday, during the Daytona 500.
He swapped out his tail lights for GTA lights, so he had to rewire his 4 bulbs to 3 bulbs, and change the turn signal wires. Which really, was no big deal. Since the STS reroutes the turn light signals anyways, that portion is done anyways, the same for any other STS installation.

He had the standard Firebird taillights & put on 85-90 GTA tail lights.
The 91/92 GTA lights are those wide 2 piece assemblies, that combine the center section into the light housings.
Don't the 91-92 gta and ta have the same tail lights and the firebird and formulas have the same?
I think so, but he had the basic Firebird lights, with the amber sections. So he only had to swap out the outer 2 pieces & change from 4 bulbs per side to 3. And make the tail lights into turn signals too, since there was no longer the amber section with separate bulbs.

ok i have a 92 ta convertible i just pick up a unit, and was wondering what i had to due to my car with the gta tail lights
Did he not give you the instructions? Everything you need to know is in there.
yes but not sure which directions to follow, i have a 92 trans am with the gta tail lights i think (the one that are just to pieces with the amber on the outside with the two inter light red on each side)

Start with Page 6 titled "Base TA, ‘91/’92 TA or ’82-92 Camaro installation" instructions, but considering your base TA has already been converted to the 2-piece GTA lights, I have no way of knowing what the previous did to accommodate them.

It wasnt convertied to the 2-piece, it came like that from the factory.
Tour TA came with GTA tail light, from the factory?
In any case, I'd start with what I said before. It is likely, that the wiring is identical & just the housings & lenses are the only difference.
91-92 ta and gta came with same tail lights, (amber outside, two red inter lights) unlke previous years where the gta had three red outer and one white inter

That is how my 87 GTA was, but I converted the clear (white) inner Reverse lights to a red lens & turned it into a tail/turn/brake light, light the other 3. I converted the outer 2 into tail/turn/brake a couple of years ago, so now I have 8 bulbs (4 per side). So no...I currently have NO Reverse lights, but I'm working on "correcting" that.
It certainly sounds like the instructions on Page 6, are exactly & fully what you need.
You said it would work with 2????? My Iroc has corvette tail lights. No rear side maker lights. How do you think it would look with just the 2 lights flashing?????

They have 3 outputs per side, but do not NEED all 6 hooked up.
Light 1 on, light 2 on, all off.....
Light 1 on, light 2 on, all off.....
Light 1 on, light 2 on, all off.....
etc., etc., etc.
I made mine work with 8 lights (4 per side)
Lights 1 & 2 on, light 3 on, light 4 on, all off......

are there any gifs or video of this on the standard firebird tial lights.if you tie in the reverse lights does that do away with the reverse lights?
Yes, it did away with my Reverse lights, but I never miss them. Wherever I need to back up, there is always other lighting around.
And I don't know of any videos of sequentials on standard Firebird taillights. I do know some people have swapped out their standard lights for the GTA style ones though.
No promises....But everyone who wants one, shoot me a PM (even those who just posted here recently) so that I can keep all the requests in one place, and we'll see how many interested parties there are.
It would take a MINIMUM of 10 to get started, due the required build quantity.
So how many are we up to now on this second batch? I sent my PM stating I would take two of them. If we're getting close I'll take a third as another spare or to sell later to someone else to get this rolling.....
IDK were everyone is at with this but if there still selling i would be more then happy to get a setup gonna do the trans am tail lights on my formy soon
Just gotta convince the builder, another TGO member, to build them. I have plenty of people that say they want them lately, but if he doesn't build them, my hands are tied.
Paying for them doesn't seem to be a problem, so the ball is in his court now.
