Help Fuse Block

Ok I have been tracking down a battery drain on my 86 Iroc. I have tracked it to the fuse thats marked " LID " I have searched all over but can't find anything that goes with lid. Does anyone have any idea what LID means. I was thinking maybe that was for the hatch motor because I do not have an underhood light.

Re: Help Fuse Block

The LID fuse is for the hatch pull down motor. I had the exact same thing happen on my 89 RS.

my pull down motor is working fine so I don't know why it is having a power drain.

Re: Help Fuse Block

The LID fuse should be powering only the hatch pulldown motor and the trunk light. Is there a chance that the previous owner hooked up something in the trunk to this circuit?

I assume you already checked that the light shuts off when the hatch is closed.

I'd pull the fuse and measure the drain current.
Then I'd pull the connector on the pulldown motor and measure the current through the fuse again. That will tell us a little bit more.
