MSD 6AL, Will It Make Ay Difference?

Im am in the process of rebuilding my 305, The engine has been bored 0.040" over, Bigger Cam .472 Intake and .496 Exhaust, 1.6 Rockers, Performer Intake, and Aluminum Heads w/58cc chambers. Not Sure what Carb to use yet. Anyway, As far as ignition goes I have replaced the HEI Coil with an MSD Coil. I have Purchased an MSD 6AL Box, and an MSD Ignition Module that replaces a 4 Pin module and I have a 7 Pin Module I was wondering if this 4 Pin Ignition Module will work or not. And will the 6AL be worth using or should i just not even bother and just use the stock ignition controls? The Distributor is mechanical advance. Thanks for any Info ........

If you have a 7 pin module, then you don't have mechanical advance. A mechanical advance distributor woule have a 4 pin module.

The 6AL won't make any difference over a properly working stock ignition.

Well I know for sure i dont have Vaccum Advance. But There is a 7 pin module in the distributor. 2 pins on one side with one connector and 5 on the other side with 2 connectors.
