Re: Seqential Turn Signal, Round #4

that is pretty lame! Considering people like you is the reason they have a business to begin with now they wana screw with the people that gave them success !

Thats pretty crappy that happened to you. If they did this without consenting from you, you probably have a legal lawsuit, or if there isnt already people out there in the same boat, file a class action lawsuit.

They kinda had a legitimate reason to do that, but buried in the fine print & no warning.....By not accepting the last transaction, I coulda avoided it.

Oh....$56 shipped in the lower 48 states. Alaska & Hawaii vary, but are generally only $3 higher, at most, for shipping.

Still have the couple left, then we're done.....

The only change for Camaros is the same as the 91/92 Firebirds. A wire under the dash needs to be snipped & rerouted. Pretty simple.

Other than the amber to red lens conversion, its pretty easy.

Just hafta decide if the tiny 194 bulb in the outermost position is gonna be tail or turn. I haven't seen anybody put a 2057 in there...yet. Possibly someone has, I just haven't heard.

Re: Seqential Turn Signal, Round #4

Oh.....There was never a problem making the outer light work.

The problem (difficulty really) was that the turn & tails lights were wired differently under the dash, but that is taken care of now.

You people are just plain hilarious. 30 people beg for STS and then when 20 units become available and Stephen PMs those 30 people on his list, barely anybody responds. Then it takes months to sell those 20 units.
Once they are gone, posts start coming in: "I haven't noticed this thread". Yeah, a thread with 3 pages, that has been up for 2 months in plain sight. Easy to miss, eh?

Sorry, I just don't visit every part of the board all the time, most of it I rarely visit. The last time I was in the Electronics was probably back in 07 when I asked Stephen about the amber to red and if he had any STS systems available then. So now I will just look forward to getting a PM for Round 5 unless I have figured out how to make my owm by then (and I'm not counting on that).

Re: Seqential Turn Signal, Round #4

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh there but it's just a little frustrating when Stephen advertises these units for sale for months and nobody wants them and then the day he sells the last one, he gets several PMs "do you still have any left?".
I guess I should just laugh at it instead.

If you have the 90+ TA, you'll need to modify the under-steering-column harness very simply - just cut and reconnect a single wire. That will disable the separation between brake lights and turn signals. At that point, you'll need to rewire the tail lights. Which would be the best timing for the STS (why do it twice, right?) And maybe you can put pre-90 TA tail lights in there to make it easier.

If you need the instructions on the steering column wiring modification, read back in this thread, it should be posted here as a link. If not, let me know and I can send it to ya.

I totally understand where you are coming from . The only reason I had looked for this again was I saw a Mustang with them the other day and it reminded me of these kits(and wanting one ), so I thought I would look and see if there was any new news, sadly I seem to look only when they are sold out. Now that I am out of school I will be able to afford them in the next batch . I'll look for that link as I need to fix the signal wiring in my column anyway.

Yup, I see them a lot around here. The funny thing is, those kits cost around $150 last time I checked. It was pretty steep. I offered one of ours to our co-worker for his 2001 Mustang but he's just not into "that kind of stuff" he said.

My friend's friend has an old 70's Caddy and we are thinking about putting one on those tail lights. 4 bulbs on each side, it might look even better.

Hmm, have we ever seen a video of the STS unit on a Camaro? I believe we have a few members with Camaros and STS units out there now.

You could always paint the amber section transculent red, like the Camaro guys do to their Amber section.

I say you guys take payments first ensuring the unit is paid for before you make your own or make new ones... Maybe first 20-30 payments make it to round 5?

Considered that....First guy could be waiting awhile. Or if a time limit was set, I coulda ended up refunding people their money.

If anybody wants to start another round, you'll hafta talk BigBadLou into it.....

Testor's Model spray paint, Translucent Red. Small can, maybe 3" tall.

I converted my Reverse lights with it too, and tied them in as part of my tail lights......
