Ok so I jus got done putting on my mini ram. The only thing thats not connected is the cold start injectors, which im told that I dont need them for it to start. So everything else is hooked up and everythings going nice and smooth but im not getting any spark. I put in a new cap, semi new rotor, new module, new coil pack and new plugs. The wires are also like new so I have no idea why it wouldnt be gettin any spark? It was running fine before I did the intake swap. So what can be causing for it getting no spark? Please help!
So the only thing new that could affect the spark is the ignition module and coil? (you said "pack", not sure what that means, TPI doesn't use coil packs)
You can test the coil easily: unplug the two-prong connector on the back of the distributor, stick a paperclip in the prong with the white wire, turn ignition on, touch the paperclip to the block (or any good ground). If the new coil is any good, you'll get a nice spark.
If you suspect the new ignition module, you can put the old one back in and see if you get spark.
Let us know what you find.
Lou

nah what i meant is jus coil. i took off the plug wire and stuck a screw driver in there and cranked it and saw no spark. im gonna check the voltage to the wires going into the dist.
ok guys i found the problem. turns out the wires inside my dist. were touching and it shorted out my dist., only problem now is that my plugs are fouled out with gas and so tonite im gonna get a lil tourch and heat em up to unfoul em pray to god it runs
yes it does, when fuel gets into the plugs jus take em out and take a lil mini tourch and heat them up untill u see lil flames come out. it also warms up ur plugs so when ur motor is cold there already to go and warm and it runs better.
