i swapped from auto to standard and i wired the two wires for the clutch switch and i got the ones for the back up lights now am i supposed to do anything else with the other wires or do as i read here and do nothing with them the thing its i keep getting code 24, 32 and 44 now 24 its for the speed sensor is it something else i need to hook up or is it that my speedo its showing the wrong miles since the swap (it shows 45 when im doing 60) thanks for any help.

I'm unfamiliar with the swap; however, there are a couple of things that I can throw your way: If you're setting a code 24 without the wheels moving, the manual says to ignore it. If the trans you swapped in has different drive and/or driven gears from the original, the speedo won't read correctly. You can find the appropriate gears in the following link:

What he didn't say was that you have to remove the gears from your auto trans and compare the numbers of teeth on the driven VSS/speedo drive gear to the trans output gear and get your gear ratio before you do anything else. Then you get the 2 gears that are closest to your ratio. There are only 2 VSS drive gears that GM lists, IIRC an orange one (9T?) and a purple one, but there are a number of driven gears used to match tire size and rearend ratios. I have a spare purple one (7 tooth) if you need it. I ordered it from the dealer only to find out I already had the right gear, and of course, you can't return special order parts...

:edit: The other drive gear is a red one... just looked it up.

i have the purple one but i dont remember what the other one is my tires are 275-60-15 and i notice im like 20 miles off but will this give me code 24?

You can find the correct drive/driven info, along with color, in the link I provide above. You should be able to purchase the exact gear or gear set you require (providing you're running OE wheels/tires). If you're unsure of your rear ratio, check the following FAQ:

would switching the tranny from auto to stick screw the computer up?

I cant say for sure on camaro's but i do know on 87+ GM full size trucks, s10's, and cavaliers, berettas, etc it does make a difference. Aftermarket chips ie: Jet performance, hypertech, etc list different prt#'s for auto opposed to std as well.
I would think with gm being fairly simple and keeping things similar it would be the same situation with these cars.
