I installed my manual fan because the relay for my duals fan is bad.
My manual fan switch has three terminals-
Ground
12V
15A
I have the ground going to ground... I have the 12V going to the positive wire off of the fan... I have the 15A connect to an 30A in-line fuse going to 12V constant power for the radio. When I turn on the switch my fuse for my radio pops. I noticed that my power locks were not working and put a new fuse for the acc and it popped.
What's the fuse rating for the constant power for the radio? I suspect it might not be enough for the fan and that's why it blows.
Why would you rather install a switch with lots of wires and fuses instead of replacing a $5 relay? That puzzles me.
Also, if you want the fans to not run with the key off (preferred), you should use one of the ignition actuated circuits, not the radio constant feed.
But really, just replace the relay and allow the ECM to do the cooling for you.
Hope this helps.

I didn't have time to make it to the auto store... I was running late for work and needed a quick fix. So my car wouldn't overheat... I would definitely have the relay do the work for me...
One fan draws about 20A at startup. If you are controlling both, that would exceed the fuse easily. I'd recommend not running the fans from any existing fuse. Just use your new fuse to tap into unfused ignition power in the fusebox.
Or, since you have dual fans, why not switch the relays so that the good one is controlling the primary fan? That will easily get you to the autoparts store.

I have three fans: The regular dual fan setup and one big single fan used a pusher.
The single fan is the one I use a manual fan... After I hooked it up. First my in-line radio fused popped then my ACC fuse in the fuse box popped. After disconnecting the manual fan. My ACC fuse keeps popping everytime I put a new fuse in. The radio is back on, but my power locks, mirrors and rear view mirror lights do not work. What would cause my ACC fuse to keep blowing?
I don't have a primary and secondary relay for my dual fans because when I got my wiring harness done by LT1350 I had them remove the secondary relay. I thought I was only going to use a single fan setup. However due to mounting problems I kept the original dual fan setup and just used one relay.
The main issue at hand here is why the ACC fuse in the fuse box keeps popping. Everything was working fine but I installed the manual switch this morning.
