86 Iroc... Need help wiring fan and fuel pump ECM removed

I have a 86 iroc that the previous owner half*** the tpi setup and put a carb and intake on. I removed all the wiring connected to the ecm in one piece. Since the previous owner destroyed some of the wiring and micky mouse rig the rest, i need to figure out how to wire up the fuel pump and electric fan??? Any help would greatly be appreciated... Thanks Todd

If you wanna half*** the job, wire both of them to an ignition switch on. In other words, when you turn the key to "on position" the two leads become "hot" and begin to power your fan and fuel pump. but this method can only be used as an emergency method. There should be another way. But havent you ever noticed when someone turns on theyre Ford Ranger, the distinct whirling sound that comes from the rear under the bed, thats the fuel pump turning on. That should work for you in the mean time. also you can install a rocker switch to manually turn on and off the fan. Remember, these are just a quick fix. You may want to reconsider your options, Half*** or done correctly. And with these wierd gas prices, TPI is the way to go, you'll get better gas milage but youll have to break your head trying to put the wiring back together. good luck!

I know about the tpi getting better mileage, but when i bought the car the wiring was melted from dangling around the engine compartment. Thats why i decided to remove the wiring. Do you know where the wires from the fuel pump run? I can not find if the hot wire from the pump ran to the ecm or the fuse panel and the same with the switch wire.

Good question. I dont know man. Call GM and ask them if they have a wiring diagram for the Camaro or scematics or something you know. Hopefully someone who has completely stripped the cars interior can help you. Look for a owners manual. It should tell you what fuses belong to what. Or you can try calling West Coast Customs in L.A. or even Overhaul. They have gone in and out of many cars and Im sure they can answer that question if GM cant. Goodluck man.

I think i am going to take out all of the interior and chase wires... I found some wiring kits though summit that have relays and all necessary wires. That should make it easier. The fuse panel i cant read at all, and the wiring diagram that i have in the manual is not even close to what is coming from the fuel pump... Thanks for the help guys...
