Rewireing the horn

Hey guys, I'm an FNG to this site, I have a 95 camaro, jade green (hince the name,) Both of the plastic brackets for the horn under the air bag have broken, I decided to wire a button on the dash so that i can get her inspection done, short of dismanteling the steering wheel. how do I go about doing this?

LET ME HORN IN HERE

I would buy new horn buttons from the dealer and install them myself.

But if you’re on a budget you can do it the hard way.

Gain access to the “Convenience Center” inside the knee bolster.

You will find it convenient if you are 2 feet tall.

Connect a wire to ‘J’ on the horn relay.

Connect the other side of the wire to the push button you have provided.

Connect the other side of your push button to ground.

Happy Racing!

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

There is a small gauge black wire that runs into the clock spring and will probably be ran with the airbag wires so you have to be careful that you get the right wire. Connecting that wire to ground will activate the horn relay, thus activating the horn.

BTW, this site is actually for 82-92 F-Bodies, you would find better information and get better results to your questions if you searched on a forum designed for your vehicle.
