i brake and lights go crazy

So recently i swapped my tail lights out with l.e.d bulbs and now whenever i step on the brake......... "while the lights are all off" the head lights will pop up and all the lights will shoot on....including fog lights. but once i pick up my foot from the pedal the lights just turn off and the headlights close. what can be causing this?

For starters try putting the old bulbs back in. What i think is happening is when you send poer to the breake lights which should be seperate from the headlight/parking light circuit is somehow being backfed through a bulb or through a short from a pinched wire wire or something.

I tried putting the old bulbs back on but it still does the same stuff. looked for any messed up wires and couldn't seem to find any bent or cut up.

Re: i brake and lights go crazy

ok the next thing ide check is try pulling ALL the brake light bulbs out and retrying to see if the brakes still operate your headlights. If it dosnt do it now then you have a bad ground if it still does it then you have a short between 2 wires. In eather case give it a try well see what happens and go from there.
