Car: 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Engine: 350 Tuned-Port Injection Transmission: 700 R4 Axle/Gears: 3:73 | Shifter Switch Wiring "HELP NEEDED"
Hi, recently purchased an 88 IROC with a 5.7 TPI, i700r trans, it has a B&M Shifter (don't know what kind), the problem is the car starts in drive and reverse, (it starts everywhere,) I got the correct switches on the shifter from B&M I replaced them as a place to start, however they old ones were ok, I still have the problem, I don't have any thing (schematic) to check the wiring against to see if it's wired properly. There seems to be a factory switch or relay or whatever that purple and yellow wires go into.
I'm replacing that as well because when I moved it around to inspect it a connector tab broke off where a yellow wire goes in. Anyone that can help with wiring or tell me where the wires on the 2 switches on shifter should go will be my hero, thanks | | | |
