I bought my car ('84 z/28) with no motor. it had a T-5 and everything there just no motor. I recently dropped in a rebuilt 350 and plugged everything in. it runs ans all the guages seem to read properly (for the most part). I've got these ends in the bay and I have absolutely no idea what they're for. I don't seem to need them but who knows. they look like they may have been for A/C which I don't have but thats just a guess based on where they're located. also, the guy before me did alot of random wiring. its very interesting, always a surprise. anyways, here are some pics, see if anyone can figure it out.
he seemed to have spliced a plug/clip in there, I dunno what for...
This is where they're all located.

could be, I don't have an electric choke anymore so yeah. but that many? what about the melted one? electric chokes never had those big plastic clips did they? only the little metal clips, similar to the one that goes on the pigtail temp sender.
I'm pretty sure, I've got an 86' in my garage (just the harness, no motor). but, I'm pretty sure that the plastic clip that had that spliced wire in it went to the choke, most definitely the carb though. I could be wrong. haha

yeah, I can see the one with the wire spliced in being the choke. it would clip onto those little flanges on the choke. but the other two big ones i have no idea. seems to run fine so maybe i don't need em but the guages in my car go nuts.
The first pics look like connectors for the Heater/AC system. The Red Wire IS "+" for the heater system - the other plug is hard to tell, but if it's got Green, Blue & Black wires, It's the heater / AC Plug.

So then why does my heater work without them plugged in? or are they only for the A/C part which I don't have?
