plugs wires and distributor

hey guys! i just got my 82 z28 and i've been working on freshening it up a bit. next on my mind is a new distributor, plugs and plug wires. however having never owned a muscle car or anything with a v8 for that matter i wasnt sure what brands/products were reputable. also was wondering about the effects of copper vs iridium etc. on an NA v8. i've got NGK iridiums on my 3kgt vr4 but thats a totally different animal. what can you guys recommend? thanks in advance!

There are lots of options. My personal preference is MSD though Taylor, Accell, Mallory all make quality products for plug wires and caps, rotors, coils etc. Being that you've got an 82, you should have the large cap, that is the "coil-in-cap" style.

For plugs, there's alot of different stuff. Lots of people like the NGK, bosch and some of the more "advanced" brands but I've never gone with anything but AC delco in mine and I've never had a problem. Hope this helps!
