How can I butt connect 2 section of 1 gauge wire used in my battery relocation? Torch and solder? Is there a butt connector?

go to your local stereo store they will have the connectors or something to put that together since they u8se that heavy wire all the time or like a big truck (mack international) shop they also use that heavy wire

Yup any local car audio shop will have some, if there nice they will give you one for free. Or you can order some from Fastenal!..i work there

I had to grab one for a 4ga run I was doing in my last car. The nicer ones (plated and hex set screws) can be found at stereo shops for about $10-20. Something a bit more "rugged" (not pretty) could probably be found at a hardware store (electrical section) or at a welding supply shop.
