Confused? with VSS Wiring 86 Firebird... Yes I searched.

My 1986 Firebird was converted to a carbed chevy 350 by the previous owner. When I decided to take out the unused computer controlled wiring and heater and a/c I accidentally clipped the VSS wires that come off the transmission. They are purple and yellow wires but I cant figure out where they go to from the transmission. I have the yellow buffer box and there are the yellow and purple wires plugged into that. So Im confused as to where the yellow and purple wires coming off the transmission actually go to? Please help me out guys. I searched for hours on end with no real info about the routing of the wires. Thanks!
