Hi Im new to this site Im hopeing for some good advise. Well to start off I got a 88 camaro v6 the fuel pump kept going out on the last owner, then there was no power going to the pump. So now he descided to put a jumper wire with a inline fuse srtaight to the harness in the back to the fuse box. It was working for awhile. I bought it, now the pump went out, replaced pump working agian, one week later pump went out agian, now that wire he had installed is getting very hot, I checked the relays on the driver side everything seems good. Need some help on what to check next, I have a new pump but dont want to put it in till I find the main problem. Also what was the reason in the first place for the jumper wire, why not fix it right the first time? Sorry for the long post....
