Axle/Gears: 3.56, ?

fuel gauge with a mind of its own

most of the time it reads just fine and then all of a sudden it goes to about 3/8's of a tank

the sender is new

could it be the gauge itself

help please!

Re: fuel gauge with a mind of its own

Could be a bad connection could be the gauge could be a lot of things really. However to troubleshoot this unfortunetly what well need to do is take apart the dash and make some measurements at the gauge connections. For starters though have you check the gauge connections yet?
