Windshield Wipers Won't Turn Off

When I turn my wipers on, everything works fine on both low and high, but when I try to turn them off, they just stay in low until I get where I'm going and can shut the car off. NOT COOL.

Rain Pain

Most likely a bad switch.

Disconnect the wiper motor module connectors C1 & C2.

Have wiper switch in OFF position.

Have key in ACC position.

Measure voltage on C2a.

Measure voltage on C1b.

They need to be zero.

If you have voltage there the switch is bad, or a wire is shorted to a voltage source.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Re: Windshield Wipers Won't Turn Off

I think it's more likely to be the park mechanism in the motor than the switch. They can be fixed if your adventurous, but another motor is the easy path. Lots of used ones around.
